What We Do
Explore Our Programs
Y.E.S. Empowerment Program
YES implements interventions that regularly involve young people as partners and participants in the decision-making processes that determine program goals, planning and/or implementation. With the support of caring adults, YES engage young people in program leadership as a characteristic of their involvement in safe, positive, and structured activities both inside and outside of formal education. YES – Youth Empowerment Services is a program that provides leadership/mentoring, education/training, and tools/resources that encourage and promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth. The program will serve youth up to age 22.
Often, youth centers and after-school program schedules, objectives, and activities are adult-driven. Youths may be asked for their input or sporadically involved in programmatic decision-making, but if their involvement is not structured to ensure opportunity for real influence and regular participation in programmatic decision-making processes, the intervention is not empowerment-based.
Stephanie Daniels Ministries, Inc. will implement programs and services that will impact and transform the lives of youth in the community by providing leadership/mentoring, education/training, and tools/resources that encourage and promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual growth.
Youth Empowerment Services will operate in the areas of:
- Educational Programs/STEM
- Counseling
- Culture, Drama & Arts
- Prevention/Intervention
- Food/Clothing/Shelter
- Financial Literacy
GOALS/OBJECTIVES
There are three major goals for YES-Youth Empowerment Services and specific objectives within each of the goals that will encourage and promote physical, mental, emotional and/or spiritual growth for the youth of the community.
Seeds Of Hope
Stephanie Daniels Ministries partners with other nonprofits and agencies to create a true community of care, making a profound difference in the lives of the families we serve. Our programs address the range of issues that affect low-income families. These include direct services, educational curricula and training, prevention programs and more. Seeds of Hope exist to help families/individuals achieve and maintain self-sufficiency through housing, food, counseling, education, and other support services. We hold strong to our commitment to the values of dignity, empowerment, accountability, community spirit, and hope.
Dignity – Honor each individual through an atmosphere of respect, trust, and confidentiality.
Empowerment – Inspire self-sufficiency through the development of courage, confidence, and pride.
Accountability – Accept responsibility for commitments and accomplishing our goals.
Community Spirit – Realize our vision through teamwork, cooperation, and collaboration.
Hope – Share a belief in new beginnings and allowing dreams of the future to emerge.
Our mission is to help families/individuals achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future. Poverty is a complex problem. It won’t yield to a simple solution. It requires an integrated approach that reaches beyond immediate needs. We initiate coordinated local efforts that bring communities together to help prevent and relieve stress as well as help families/individuals regain their independence, and their dignity.
